In this video, let's fix Red Dead Redemption 2 crashing or closing. RDR2 auto closing, crash fix.<br /><br />Go to the game folder<br />Select "PlayRDR2"<br />Right-click it<br />Click on "Properties"<br />Click on "Compatibility"<br />Check "Disable fullscreen optimizations"<br />Check "Run this program in compatibility mode"<br />Select "RDR2"<br />Right-click it<br />Click on "Properties"<br />Click on "Compatibility"<br />Check "Run this program in compatibility mode" [Careful, because this is ONLY for "RDR2", not for "PlayRDR2", like I show in the video]<br />Check "Disable fullscreen optimizations"<br />Check "Run this program in compatibility mode"<br /><br />Go to Documents<br />Open "Rockstar Games" folder<br />Open "Red Dead Redemption 2" folder<br />Open "Settings" folder<br />Find the files with "sga vulkan" in their name<br />Select all of these files with "sga vulkan" in the name<br />Delete them<br /><br />Select "settings" file<br />Right-click it<br />Move your mouse to "Open with"<br />Choose "Notepad"<br />Click on "Edit"<br />Click on "Find"<br />Write "API"<br />Press the ENTER key<br />In "kSettingAPI_Vulkan", select the "Vulkan" word, and write "DX12"<br />Click on "File"<br />Click on "Save"<br />And close the file<br /><br />If you are using RivaTuner,<br />Right-click RivaTuner<br />Click on "Close"<br /><br />If you use a platform or launcher to play RDR2, such as Steam, make sure to launch Steam as administrator as well<br />Go to the Steam folder<br />Scroll down<br />Select "Steam"<br />Right-click it<br />Click on "Properties"<br />Click on "Compatibility"<br />Check the option to "Run this program as administrator"<br />Click on "Apply"<br />Click on "OK"<br /><br />Make sure to keep your drivers updated.
